Morton's neuroma is a painful condition in the forefoot. It is essentially a fibrous bundle that grows around one or more of the interdigital nerves in the forefoot. Symptoms are aggravated by tight fitting shoes, overly flexible footwear or high heels. Wide fitting rocker sole shoes that reduce flex at the forefoot are recommended for this condition. Neuroma symptoms are usually managed without the need for surgery
